Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn

This is the first game I can remember being absolutely hype with anticipation for and boy did it pay that hype off. Amazing. A triumph. I loved bringing that spiral bound tome of a manual around to read about it. Truly formative for me.

Donkey Kong Country

This game remains one of my favorite platformers and an all time comfort food emulation pick. It's so fun and it still looks pretty great.

Esoteric Ebb

I loved this game. Funny, not too long. Feels like playing D&D with your friends.

Fallout: New Vegas

Probably still the best Fallout game and I think my personal favorite now.

Fields of Mistria

Good cozy game, haven't played since I think 0.6? Want to come back to this.

Fire Emblem: Blazing Blade

Unending nostalgia for this game. I love this cast so much, the sprite art is peak for GBA era. What a foundation.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

An overall great game! A great story, a great cast, but unfortunately pretty underwhelming mechanically.

Ghost of Yōtei

A rare extremely fun open world game. I love the atmosphere, the style of this game. It truly feels cinematic and it's gorgeous. Also an amazing performance by Erika Ishii.

Horizon Forbidden West

What a great expansion of the first game. I think it might have gone a little overboard on the number of weapons, but aside from that it’s so fun. I’m so in love with the setting. Yes it’s over the top and dumb, but it’s cool as hell.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Bioware operating at full Force (get it?) Still holds up actually.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Playing this series and the anticipation for it defined a large swath of my early adulthood as a gamer. It's amazing, beginning to end and still so iconic.

Metroid Fusion

This nails so many things about Metroid, the creepiness, the loneliness. This is the template of what comes later.

Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver

The best Pokemon game for me. So much content in one game, really well refined.

Super Mario World

This is still just the best 2D Mario I’m pretty sure.

Tape to Tape

This is one of my top games to just break out for a run or two. It's just goofy and fun and you can get so hype off a clutch goal as time expires.

Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos

This is my favorite RTS campaign and it was an excellent multiplayer game. And I don’t just mean customs! I think this was the first game I really tried hard to get good at on ladder. I miss the hero units and this series.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Probably the best Zelda. The right balance of everything.
